Waterise welcomed by top politicians in Norway
On 16 and 17 June Waterise CEO Davoud Tayebi and Executive Chairman Niels Petter Wright had meetings with Minister for Trade and Industry, Iselin Nybø and Senior Member of Parliament, Espen Barth Eide to present the company, the technology and to discuss framework conditions. The meetings were held at the Waterise office in Oslo Science Park days after Waterise lowered its first demo module into the deep waters of Boknafjord in south western Norway. Minister Nybø stated that Waterise is a good example of how Norwegian offshore technology from the oil industry can be used to solve global problems such as water scarcity. Barth Eide emphasised that water scarcity is an existential problem in many parts of the world. He stated his support for Waterise as a company that brings the advanced subsea technology of the Norwegian oil and gas industry into new sectors to meet global demand.
The meetings were covered by the Norwegian press.
